Applications in plain paper are invited from eligible candidates for the post of 2 (Two) Research Fellows under Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Govt. of West Bengal funded Research Project

 

The Department of Geology of Sister Nibedita Government General Degree College for Girls (SNGGDCG), Hastings House, Alipore, Kolkata – 700027 under the Department of Higher Education, Science & Technology, and Biotechnology, Government of West Bengal has received a PHED funded Research Project on “Design, Development and Field Performance Evaluation of Hand Pump Attached Fluoride Removal Water Filter Units Using Novel Nanostructured Materials: A Lab-To-Field Nanotechnology Transfer and Scale-up Programme (Phase-II)”

 

The Principal Investigator of this project is Dr. S. Chakrabarti (Head, Department of Geology, SNGGDCG, Kolkata). The tenure of project is 12 months, but likely to continue subject to satisfactory results.

 

The selected candidates will be given a consolidated Fellowship of Rs. 8,000.00 per month (in line with the stipulated guidelines of University Research Scholarship), which may be increased to Rs. 10,000.00 per month for suitably experienced candidates.

 

Candidates with good M.Sc. (minimum 55% marks) in Environmental Science /Environmental Systems Management (Water Pollution) or Chemistry (Inorganic/Physical/Analytical/Applied/Environmental Chemistry) or Geology (Environmental Geology or Hydrogeology), Geography (GIS and Remote Sensing, Environmental Pollution) Physiology (Environmental Physiology) or Zoology (Environmental Zoology) from recognized universities may apply with relevant testimonials/credentials to the Principal Investigator Dr. S. Chakrabarti (Head, Department of Geology) within 4th August, 2018 (Saturday). Candidates with experience in relevant disciplines are preferable.
